For the few of you who know me (or rather, the few of you that actually care), you know that I have gotten into fansubbing lately. It was partly on a whim, and partly to see just what it’s like to be a fansubber.
Technically I’m part of two groups who have taken different approaches to fansubbing. I can’t really say which is better, or which I like more, but I can’t say it’s all bad either.
Anyway, so I’ve worked on a few projects so far and I’ve gotten better along the way. So now I’ve reached the point where I wonder why I still do it.
I initially didn’t want to do fansubbing just because I didn’t think that I would have time to work on it on a weekly basis, but thankfully one of the groups let gave me the opportunity to try without the weekly deadlines to deal with. Then I joined another to work on a side project that didn’t have weekly deadlines either. Fast forward a few months and here I am, working on a series on a weekly basis -__-. This is actually my second series that I’m working on. The first one I was somehow convinced to QC even though I never signed up to do that, and the second one I’ve been made to edit because the editor has gone permanently AFK it seems and somehow I ended up editing another series next season.
Anyway, that’s just me ranting since I know I’ll quit at some point, and then deal with all the attempts to guilt me back that will probably happen (you know who you are). Fansubbing isn’t particularly FUN to me or anything, but it seems to be another thing that I just end up doing for some unknown reason and then continuing for some amount of time.
Anyway, there’s no real point to this point since it’s just a rant, so…. yeah….
Actually, for a rant, it’s pretty short >_>
Anyway, I blame you! (You know who you are).
