PROLOGUE
It was a hot summer afternoon in the jungles of Peru. Somewhere along the way, a jeep hurdles along the greenery. As they rushed upon the clearing, they stopped. Haltingly, they saw the mysterious temple that they chatted about. As they approached the entrance, arrows hurdled among their skins. They barely dodged the arrows, despite one of them had hesitancy to go.
Pumpkin Scissors starts off in a war torn pile of ruins, where an armistice between the empire and the republic is announced. Five days earlier the same happens at the graduation ceremony at an officer academy. The Pumpkin scissors is a military division of the information department that works on removing the aftermath of the war, meaning: rebuilding tunnels, do charity work and hunt down and observe rebels. To every other non-Japanese fan of anime, more often than not he or she gets ridiculed for watching “silly cartoons”, and this is normal. If you have not, I salute your awesomeness.
For every other non-fan of anime, he or she sometimes will make the association between anime and hentai, and then you wonder, “How the heck did you make that assumption?” Well the answer is that for some reason, the stereotype exists that all anime fans watch hentai, that “tentacle rape” stuff. I blame “Urotsukidoji” for propagating the hentai stereotype… not! That reminds me I need to watch “Urotsukidoji” myself to see what all the hype’s about. Continue reading
