So since you all decided not to join the Chan Legion, we have decided to yet again assault the main server.
At around 14:00 GMT, one of our upper council managed to infiltrate the data center where the server is held. He managed to bribe the security into believing that he was, in fact Jarudin.

So while I was browsing the forums, I came across this person:
Nothing spectacular, but I noticed the, “DO NOT STEAL” like sign attached to the sig. Of course, that got me thinking… What would be amusing?
I present to you, a dual attack on the forums, by myself and Duki!

After a long and tedious war, the chan army have slayed the world and converted Jarudin to our own.
YES! We have won!
Our armies are victorious! With so few casualties too.
We even have 21 chan army members active and willing to fight for truth, justice, and the 3 free lolis, the babybear and kristen doll and some cookies…
We are formidable and scary. And slightly pedophile, but that’s not the issue.
Since we claim total victory, the update of usernames IS going ahead. There is no denial of this now. We hope to get the site up and running again as soon as possible.
As per last time, Jaruchan managed to get back in time to stop us from taking control and force renaming everyone.
We, the Chanaholics have banded together and are attempting a second coup. We’ll have more information on this as it progresses.

As you’ve noticed, there’s been quite a bit of downtime today. We’re truly sorry about this but we’ll have the site back up and running shortly.
The truth of the matter is that the staff (namely myself) have had a falling out with Jarudin.
Over the past few months, I’ve been persuading staff to adopt the ‘chan’ suffix in their IRC usernames. In most, the staff have complied.
Xiochan, Maluchan, Dukichan, etc.
Jarudin however refuses to comply.
What he said:
Chiyachan, I refuse to change my name to Jaruchan. I like it how it is currently. I don’t see any real reason to rename it to please you.

It upsets me greatly, but I think that standardisation of names is important for a community this large, so this change which is taking place will solve many problems.
With the help of Dubkatz and Force, we’ve disabled the entire site while we edit the entire user database to add the word, “chan” to all usernames. Jarudin has also been demoted to mod status for lack of complying.
We are the Chan.
Prepare to be assimilated.
Resistance is futile.
In other words, we hope to be online again soon.

So I was reading a magazine called, “NewScientist” or something along those lines. Honestly, most of it is over my head, but I saw an article called, “The mind of a botnet.” and the following just came to me for no apparent reason.
It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but let’s break down the entire discussion between a guy-who-PMed-Jarudin and Jarudin with annotations to see where he went wrong.
First of all, I will start by re-writing EVERYTHING he said so that when this gets posted on the blog, people are able to read it without getting eye strain.
I’ve decided to annotate my interpretation of his messages since it reads easier. Nothing personal.
