So… what’s the takeaway from Transformers 2?
Even if you’ve conquered nanotechnology, the-art-of-making-giant-mecha, underwater as well as space operation, system hacking and subterfuge, and even mastered the art of making traps-with-tails… you will still lose to kung-fu.
And also, the movie’s internal project name was actually Megan Fox and some fleshbags (and a bunch of Transformers). But it was quite a mouthful so they shortened it to just Transformers instead. True story.

I’ve received several PMs asking why donations are closed. It says why in the announcements and the donation page, but I’ll explain here anyway. When a sufficient amount of donations to pay the server bill and any miscallaneous costs associated with keeping the site afloat is met, then donations are closed until the next server bill is payed. This is illustrated on a chart that is linked on the donation page. The site admins wanted to stress transparency in regards to donations, so don’t worry about your donations disappearing on you =]

As some of you may know, I graduated from high school a few weeks ago and I’ve just turned 18. I’m going to [insert undisclosed university here] next year, but I’m still taking summer classes at the local community college. Anatomy + Japanese.

So, this last week or so I’ve been working on a Python script to dynamically generate descriptions for large OST sets. With Chiya continually pestering me, it’s finally gotten to something half-releasable, so I thought I’d share it with y’all.
You can find it here; so far, I’ve only written up installation instructions for Windows, which you can find in the INSTALL file (gee whiz!).
It uses a templating system, so there is flexibility for adding new templates in the future. Right now, the only one I have is Rorando’s, so if you feel bored, I’m very open to contributions.
There’s also an issue tracker for the project on GitHub, so suggestions/bugs are welcome there. Even installation notes for OS X / Linux would be fantastic, or usage notes for all systems, although I’m hoping to do some of that tonight.

Oh, sample usage is “bxt_description_generator.py some_folder rorando.html > description.html”.

Catgirl walks down the street, thinking of nothing evil, twirling her tail and humming a merry tune – some male in his fertile age sees her. Man stops thinking. Man starts drooling. Catgirl passes man and walks away without noticing him. Man still stands there drooling. After a while man wakes up as he realizes the catgirl is gone. Man looks down on him. His pants bulge. He walks somewhat awkwardly home.
Now… how did it happen that a seemingly sound minded man ended up like this?
Let’s roll the scene back and look into the detail. The man sees the catgirl, his most ancient instincts roar up inside him…but herein lies the problem… one of those instincts is – of course – the mating instinct. He sees a pretty girl, sees that her proportions are very fine and his instinct tells him “Yo dude…that’d be one fine mother for your children… her hips are wide enough to give birth to some healthy offspring and her breasts contain enough fat so they’ll surely have enough milk for getting the small guy well over his dangerous time”. But just when he inclines to listen to the instinct another instinct inside of him raises its voice – the danger instinct “Are you insane man? Look at that… it’s a wild cat… that’s a dangerous animal… if you’re not careful it will tear you to pieces. Not to mention that it will steal away all of your prey if you’re not careful.
The man now falls into a dangerous state of inner turmoil… two of his basic instincts fighting one another while his outer bodily shell is doomed to stand helplessly in the middle of the sidewalk. That’s when he’s already started drooling. In complete and utter inability to settle his inner dialogue he doesn’t even see the object of his desire pass out of his sight. After a while… when he finally makes up his mind that this matter is a big anough concern to be further (innerly) discussed, since he hasn’t been attacked yet and his wife is waiting with dinner at home anyway – she is long gone.

Well, I was talking with some guys in another channel a couple of weeks ago, and one of them brought their own bot in (Rikku, her name was). Another member asked him if she had any games, like Uno. And that sparked my interest. A few days ago, I discovered that there was a bot in #NEWS on Rizon, and so I tried to make/find my own Uno script.
And guess what? I discovered one, and modified it slightly. Thus, we on Box now have a bot that has Uno. Since I don’t want to spam the regular IRC chan, I registered and set up my own one. You can find it on #[email protected] or just click here.
My dear bot is named Hinagiku on DaIRC, and Hina on Rizon. She should be online as long as I am online. When she’s online, you can type !uno to start the game, and Join to join it. !quit allows you to quit, and !unostop stops the game.
